Mother Nature persevered and the races were cancelled with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Salina Highbanks Speedway. However, the GWR w20 team headed further up the highway to the ¼-mile, high-banked Jacksonville Speedway (IL)
Greg and team left Texas and headed to the 1/4-mile, high-banked red clay oval I-30 Speedway located in Little Rock, the capital city of Arkansas for some Tuesday night racing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
It was night two of the Texas Outlaw Nationals at the legendary Devil's Bowl Speedway with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and a shot at the $20,000 to-win finale. It was a packed house in the back roads of rural Mesquite at the track where the original Ted Johnson World of Outlaws first began back in 1978.
The w20 team arrived in the Lone Star State for two nights of racing with World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series in the Texas Outlaw Nationals at the legendary Devil's Bowl Speedway.
The w20 team left California heading east and made a stop in The Grand Canyon State in the Tucson area for the NAPA Wildcat Shootout at USA Raceway with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Located just one hour east of Los Angeles, the Perris Auto Speedway, a unique ½ mile clay oval that features a raised back straightaway for fan viewing was the final stop for the long spring west coast swing. After tonight, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and their traveling teams including GWR would be heading back east.
The w20 team left the rain in northern California and headed south to the “Budweiser Bash” at the high banked 1/3 mile oval of Bakersfield Speedway. It would be the start of the final weekend of racing for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series in The Golden State before heading back east.
After a challenging night at Ocean Speedway the w20 team headed towards northern California for some Saturday night racing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico for the Mini Gold Cup.
Greg enjoyed the week off and was able to spend some quality time with the family over the Easter holiday but now it was time to get back to business.
