After leaving New York completing their last tour in the East for the season, the w20 team made a brief stop in their shop in Findlay (Ohio) before heading west to The Sunflower State for some Friday night racing with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.
Thirty-six cars filled the pits of this 4/10-mile, semi-banked clay oval hoping for a shot at winning the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout. Greg would qualify twenty-seventh. He would line up in the twenty-fifth starting position for the 30-lap, A-Main where he was able to move forward five spots to finish in twentieth.
“It was a long haul getting out here from home,” said Greg. “We certainly intended to have a better run here tonight than we did. We struggled but we regroup, load up and head off to Salina for another shot tomorrow night.”
