After a brief stay back at the shop in Findlay, Ohio the w20 team headed west with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series to Pevely, MO and the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 for the Night Before the Ironman.
Thirty-seven cars filled the pits of this high-banked, 1/3-mile dirt oval. Greg would qualify eighteenth and finish third coming from the fifth starting position in his 10-lap, heat race earning a transfer spot into the Main event. Greg would line up outside the fifth row in the tenth starting position for the 35-lap, A-Main. He would gain three spots on this tight, quick bullring finishing in seventh.
“Not a bad start to the weekend,” said Greg. “I’ve always enjoyed running here at this track. You definitely have to be ‘elbows up’ on this track. We come back tomorrow night for the Ironman and hope to improve on tonight’s finish.”
