Mother Nature had won out in the past two races at Williams Grove Speedway (PA) and Ransomville Speedway (NY). Next up the w20 team along with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series headed north crossing the border into Canada for the Arrow Express Six Nations Showdown at Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ont.
Thirty-eight cars filled the pits of this 3/8th mile, high-banked oval. Greg would qualify eighth in Flight B. He would line up fourth in his 8-lap heat race and gain three spots to win. He later started fifth and finished fifth in the 6-lap Craftsman Club Dash. He would then line-up inside the third row in fifth for the 30-lap, A-Main where he would move up two spots to finish in third place and gain a podium finish along with 2nd place Donny Schatz and winner, Logan Schuchart.
“We’ve been struggling pretty bad lately, so I can’t thank the folks at Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics, DNC Hydraulics, Gear Alloy and Weikel Sportswear for staying with us,” Greg said. “This is always an amazing show. (Track Owner) Glenn (Styres) and the whole crew gave us an excellent racetrack. It’s fun. I wish some other tracks in the country would take a look at this. I realize we’re not going 100mph, but there’s racing all over the racetrack and that’s what it’s about. We will take this podium finish and build on it. It’s been a rough 2 weeks...I’ve done this long enough to know you have your ups as well as your downs in this sport against this type of competition...we just keep at it and always remember to keep the faith. ”
