The w20 along with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returned back to the half-mile, high-banked Eldora Speedway for the 34th Annual Kings Royal.
Fifty-three cars filled the pits of this famed oval in front of a capacity crowd. In preliminary action, Greg would qualify twenty-seventh and finish fourth in his 10-lap heat race missing a direct transfer to the A-Main. Greg would need a top four finish in the 12-lap, LCS to get a spot into the 2017 Kings Royal, unfortunately he fell one spot short coming home in fifth.
“Disappointed...sure a little bit...this deal is marked on our calendar as one of our big shows each year,” shared Greg. “We missed it tonight by one spot. No excuses...this is a tough deal with a field of the best drivers in the world. I’ve been fortunate in the past to make this show many times but tonight just didn’t happen. It is great to be back home and see all our friends. We load up, stop by the shop and head to PA country.”
