It was the first of a two night show with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Friday, July 7 in the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Greg would qualify nineteenth out of a stout thirty-three car field. He would finish fourth in his 10-lap, heat race and transfer directly to the evening’s Main event. Greg would start on the inside of row eight in the fifteenth position. From the drop of the green the w20 machine was on the move as he was in tenth in the first five laps. His pursuit moving forward didn’t stop as Greg used the low line and gained six more spots as the 40-lap, A-Main came to a close and finished his night as the KSE Hard Charger (+11) by bringing his Kistler powered Maxim home in fourth.
“This was a solid night for our team,” explained Greg. “Started fifteenth and moved through the field to finish fourth...not a bad way to finish the night. We keep improving. I am proud of this team and everyone associated with it. Night one is done...we come back tomorrow for night two.”
