Hoping to build on his fourth place finish at Beaver Dam Raceway, the Hercules Tires backed w20 headed to Joliet, Illinois for some early week racing in the FVP Outlaw Clay Classic at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Thirty-one cars filled the pits of this 3/8-mile, banked oval. Greg qualified seventeenth and finished sixth in his 8-lap, heat race earning transfer spot into the feature. Greg would line up deep in the field on the inside of row nine in the seventeenth starting position. The Kistler powered Maxim gained ten spots and finished the night in seventh capping a second consecutive top ten finish.
“This seventh place finish and coming from so deep in the field is a great finish for our team,” shared Greg. “I’m so proud of this team and to all my partners that are associated with us. The Hercules Tire, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics, All Star Plumbing, Gear Alloy Wheels, Bedford Valley Petroleum backed w20 team returns back to action with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Thursday, June 2 in Spring Valley, MN for the “Clash at the Creek” at Deer Creek Speedway.
