After some time off with the family at The Mall of America in Minnesota, the Wilsons loaded back up and headed to West Liberty Raceway for the West Liberty Hawkeye 25 in West Liberty, Iowa with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Greg would qualify twenty-second at this ½-mile oval. He would finish seventh in his 8-lap, heat race and later earn a transfer spot to the feature with his second place finish in the 12-lap, LCS. He would start outside the tenth row in twentieth for the 25-lap, A-Main. Greg was able to gain five spots to finish the night in fifteenth.
“It’s tough starting so deep in the field,” shared Greg. “We just have to keep working hard and put ourselves in a better starting spot in the Main...starting position makes all the difference in the world when you’re racing against the best drivers of this sport night in and night out.”
