Hoping to beat the weather, the w20 team headed to The World Famous Legendary Bullring of River Cities Speedway in the First Leg of the Northern Tour with The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Thirty-eight cars filled the pits of this 3/10-mile, high banked oval. Greg would qualify tenth in Flight A and with his fourth place finish in his 10-lap heat race he would transfer directly to the Main event. The Kistler powered Maxim would start in the fifteenth position. On lap five Joey Allen brought the red when he got upside down. During the red flag the rain set in and after a three hour delay the 40-lap, A-Main resumed and Greg was able to grab five spots on a very narrow track to finish in tenth.
“Well we outlasted the weather and we got a top ten tonight,” commented Greg. “We could have done without the rain. It made the track very narrow. But we will take this finish and continue to build on this. I want to thank all the folks here at the track and their efforts in getting this show in.”
