Forty-two cars filled the pits at this legendary half-mile oval track noted as “The Sprint Car Capital of the World.” Greg would qualify eighteenth in Flight A, finish sixth in his 8-lap, heat race missing a direct transfer spot into the A-Main. Forced to run the 10-lap, C-Main Greg finished third missing the transfer to the LCS by one spot.
“I’ve always had my share of challenges here at Knoxville,” shared Greg. “I thought we had a shot in the heat race to make the Main but we missed it by one spot. I knew then it would be tough to make the show when I had to run both the C-Main and LCS. It just wasn’t in the cards tonight.”
